Contestants will have to prove they have the relevant skills, desire and determination to win the competition before they can take to the catwalk in three pre-show competitions:
Contestants will have a group created for them on Facebook, which they will own and will be able to use as one of their marketing vehicles to increase their exposure. Points are awarded to contestants based on the number of fans they have managed to persuade to follow them by a set date before the semi-finals and the grand final.
A link will be provided on the Facebook group which will lead to the contestants’ individual profile on the Miss Student website. Here, fans are able to vote for their favourite contestants. Points are awarded per vote by a set date before the semi-final and grand final.
Contestants will be given an online ticket link, with a limited amount of tickets, which they can direct fans to so that they can come and support them on the event nights. Each ticket sold will translate into points tallied up on a certain date before each semi-final and the grand final.
